Body Specifics
Our B & C Series Douglass 6′ and 7′ Service Bodies are built suitable for short wheel base trucks with a 40-42″ cab-to-axle measurement and single rear wheels.
Designed with you in mind, your service body can be easily customized compartment by compartment. Your interior configurations can be upgraded with Equipto bolt bins, welding torch bottle compartment packages, roll out trays for a variety of equipment, and many other up-fits.
Flip-top compartments with removable dividers come optional giving you storage that’s easily configurable to whatever you need to take with you to the job site. Units are available in a standard compartment height with flip-tops, a low-profile compartment height with flip-tops, or as a low-profile flat top unit without flip-top compartments.
Standard configuration comes with a 6″ bumper step but can be upgraded to a rear work platform (flat or v-notched). 7′ bodies can also be upgraded with a long horizontal compartment, granting you additional storage for long equipment or tools.
A popular up-fit is and under-hood compressor system which saves you cargo space and overall weight, things at a premium for short wheel base service bodies. Also common are RollCover or Pace Edwards locking bed-covers to secure your cargo and keep your belongings out of sight.
