Body Specifics
Built on an 84″ cab-to-axle DRW Ford F-550 chassis, this 11′ Douglass Maximizer Crane Body with Flip-tops is designed to showcase just how capable a fully equipped service and welding truck can be. Outfitted with an Auto Crane HC-8 with fully hydraulic outriggers, PTO and hydraulic system, and a Miller EnPak A60GBHW, this demo truck delivers the power and versatility needed to tackle demanding jobs in the field. The EnPak features an adapter for the Auto Crane Nexstar remote and a fuel supply plumbed directly into the chassis fuel tank, eliminating the need for a separate fuel source.
The body is thoughtfully configured for productivity and organization, featuring mechanic’s tool drawers, adjustable shelving, Equipto bolt bins, interior lighting, and Dri-Dek tiles at the bottom of each compartment. A dedicated welding compartment includes oxy/acetylene hose, bottle holders, and a louver, while an air hose routed through the rear kickplate keeps compressed air readily accessible. At the rear, a purpose-built work platform includes a V-notch channel, vise, adjustable work lights, and safety bed steps, creating a convenient workspace wherever the truck goes. A master locking system provides added security, while an Ecco backup alarm and Federal Signal MicroPulse Ultra perimeter flashers enhance visibility and safety on the jobsite.
Additional features include Ken-Tool Hexchex wheel nut indicators and a Link MFG Cat’s Eye tire pressure monitoring system for DRW applications. A durable bedliner coating throughout key areas of the body provides added protection against the demands of daily jobsite use. From heavy lifting and welding to roadside service and everyday field repairs, this Maximizer is built to demonstrate the capability, organization, and craftsmanship that go into a fully outfitted Douglass service body.
