A Daughter’s Keepsake

Bert Clark’s wife Marsha is the daughter of our founder, Clint Douglass Jr. Retiring in June, Bert plans on doing a lot of golfing, fishing, and camping out of his deep cherry red Dodge Ram. “I couldn’t have picked a better retirement vehicle.”

 “I’ve always wanted a Douglass body,” said Bert, who used to run the Sacramento branch of Douglass Truck Bodies. Now living in Washington, they finally had the opportunity to fulfill Bert’s wish, as well as build a memento in tribute to her late father

They upgraded the security with a chromed Safe-Lock Bar System, which was one of her father’s original patented designs. Additional chrome accessories were added to finish off the unit, including locking fuel doors and a custom chrome bumper with an aluminum treadbrite kick plate. The cargo area was fitted with a black anodized aluminum locking Roll Cover, adding security and creating a weather-resistant barrier for those Pacific Northwest rainy days.

“All of the attention it is drawing up here is almost embarrassing!” said Bert, “We have received wild reviews everywhere we go.”
